Culdesac Tempe built their community of 400-and-counting with a vision: a car-free, walkable neighborhood that prioritizes people. To honor their vision, we're building a monumental statue of the Penny Farthing bicycle.
Since their inception, bicycles have radically transformed people's movement through cities. Now, Culdesac Tempe is reimagining urban mobility by transforming cities around the way people move.
As our second project, this monument pays homage to the West's rich history of transportation innovation and symbolically provides a vehicle for people-centered communities like Culdesac to continue paving the way forward.
